Aston Martin Valhalla

The Aston Martin Valhalla uses the company’s experience in Formula 1 to create an elite performance vehicle

Aston Martin has been competing in Formula 1, as well as other series like the Le Mans. They’ve used the technology from their race cars to make the Valhalla, a hypercar by all means. The company has used its racing technology in cars like the Valkyrie before, but this is the company’s first hybrid hypercar, with the goal of being more of a daily-friendly machine than a track-only machine.

The car was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show as part of their trio of super and hypercars: The Valkyrie, Valhalla, and Vanquish. Then, in 2020 Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll and former AMG CEO Tobias Moers bought Aston Martin, discontinuing the Vanquish but keeping the other two.

Originally, the car was supposed to be built with an Aston Martin developed V6 engine, but now the car is being powered by a twin-turbo Mercedes-AMG V8. The AMG V8 will make the car faster, increasing the horsepower to 812 hp instead of the original 740 hp. In combination with the 400-volt hybrid system, the car will be making a total output of about 1,012 hp.

The Valhalla will have a 0-60 of just 2.5 seconds and will have a max speed of 217 mph. The car is also just 3,640 pounds, making it lighter than other cars in its range like the Ferrari. SF90 Stradale. The weight reduction will be matched with additional downforce, which has been increased from 1,322 to 1,433 pounds at 150 mph.

Each of the 999 cars will cost at least $800,000, but the official price hasn’t been finalized. The company is expected to start delivering in late 2024.
