2022 Lucid Air

The 2022 Lucid Air is the company’s first car and is already gaining popularity.

The Lucid Air boasts many impressive numbers. The all-electric car travels 520 miles per charge and can charge to 300 miles in just 20 minutes. It’s two motors have a combined 1,111 horsepower. The motor’s small size results in the car having the largest frunk of any electric car. The car also has a very aerodynamic shape, with a drag coefficient of just 0.21. All the features of the car contribute to the car’s high efficiency resulting in amazing performance. The car can go 0-60 in 2.5 seconds and has a max speed of 235 mph.

The Lucid’s interior also contains many luxury features. It contains a 34-inch 5k display, as well as a 21 speaker sound system. The car also contains an inbuilt Alexa system. As an owner approaches their car, the Air unlocks the doors, extends the handles, and starts the light sequence. When the driver gets in the car, it scan’s the driver’s face and adjusts the seat and mirrors accordingly. Finally, the car also has a glass cockpit, with the windshield extending over the passengers in the car.

Lucid, founded in 2007, originally focused on manufacturing parts (like batteries and powertrains) for other electric car companies. Then, in October 2016, Lucid announced that they would be developing their own all-electric, high-performance luxury vehicle. The company built a 700 million dollar manufacturing plant in Arizona, capable of producing 380,000 cars a year when at max productivity.
