Lucid Gravity

In the midst of the Lucid’s crashing stock and cash burn, the company releases initial images of their 2024 electric SUV, the Lucid Gravity.

Lucid reported another quarter of the loss, losing 670 million dollars. Additionally, the company cut its estimates for 2022 Lucid Air production in half down to 2,282 vehicles from the initially projected 6,000 to 7,000 vehicles.

However, despite the troubles with production and continued losses, the company released the Lucid Gravity, an ultra-high-performance luxury SUV. Lucid says that the Gravity will be as quick as a supercar and have the spaciousness of a large SUV. Growing on their technology from the Air, the SUV is one we’re looking forward to.

The Gravity will have flexible seating arrangements for five, six or seven seats. It will also have a range beyond anything in the market (besides the Air) and though still more than a year out, with the company’s past performance, it seems more than likely this may be true. The company also claims that the Gravity will be the most aerodynamic SUV the world has ever seen. Following the Air’s low gravity coefficient of just 0.200, this also seems like a likey truth. Moreover, the Gravity will have a next-generation Glass Cockpit, a large cargo space in the trunk and frunk, and optional towing capacity.

Specs

The car has a twin-turbo flat 6 engine, capable of 480 hp and 570 Nm of torque. The car is all-wheel drive, with raised suspension, a stripped interior, and many more features.
