Porsche 911 Dakar

After decades of car enthusiasts raising their Porsche sportscars for offroading, the company finally releases its own offroad sportscar, the 911 Dakar.

“We’re making our customers’ dreams come true,” Porsche CEO Oliver Blume commented on the new 911 Dakar. The Porsche 911 is one of the most historical models in the industry. For years, Porsche owners have been raising their suspensions, switching to offroad tires, and calling their upgraded cars a “Porsche 911 Safar”. Porsche has decided to give their customers what they want with the 911 Dakar, named after the Paris-Dakar offroad rally. The car has big knobby tires and is about 2 inches higher off the ground than its city counterpart. The car pays homage to the famous 911, the first with all-wheel-drive, that won the 1994 Paris to Dakar rally. The company is limiting production to 2,500 cars.

Specs

The car has a twin-turbo flat 6 engine, capable of 480 hp and 570 Nm of torque. The car is all-wheel drive, with raised suspension, a stripped interior, and many more features.
