Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

The 2022 Corvette Stingray improves the Stingray legacy while celebrating Corvette’s IMSA win

Starting at just 62,000 dollars, the Corvette is one of the cheapest sports cars in the market. However, it’s just as powerful as any other sports car in the market. The Stingray boasts 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. It can go 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and has a top track speed of 194 mph. For street racing, the Corvette pushes an 11.2-second quarter mile.

Moving on to the drive, the corvette features an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, helping with a smoother ride. The car also features Chevrolet’s Magnetic Selective Ride Control for microsecond response to the road, dampening the effects of the road inside the car.

In celebration of Chevrolet’s IMSA win, the company is also releasing special trims to celebrate their achievement. The exterior of the car is similar to previous Corvettes. The V8 engine can be seen through the rear hatch window, and the shape is still as smooth as ever.

The interior of the corvette gives a surreal experience for the driver, putting them in their own “cockpit.” The driver’s area of the car is separated from the others and gives the driver plenty of room to move around, control features of the car, and more. With the engine being right behind the driver, the sounds of the car just add to the driving experience.
